Fall Trend : SCARFS!

For today's post, i decided to talk about one of my favorite fall trends, and that is SCARFS!
i used my favorite site Polyvore to create this montage of my favorite scarf colors for the fall! I tried to find the most affordable yet great quality scarfs i could find, due to you guys requesting affordable looks! All four of these pieces would be great for most skin tones, i did try to arrange different style of scarfs as well. starting with the forest green Topshop scarf, retailing for about 32$ this one is a triangle shaped scarf which draped over your chest,  recommend this one to people who are planning on pairing it with a zip up or button up coat due to its length. My second and favorite pick being the Maroon Topshop one retailing for once again 32$ i would pair with a neutral or gray colored cardigan, which i would not button up. the infinity scarfs have been very popular recently, and are by far my personal favorite. The burnt orange H&M scarf retails between 8-15 dollars, i like this color a lot, it definitely screams October to me! i would pair this one with a leather jacket and a flowy chiffon shirt. Last but not least a navy scarf with neutral heart print, super girly yet subtle, the navy is perfect for any skin tones, yet fall like, due to the darker color. This one retails for around 22$ on tobi.com.

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful rest of your day!

Top 5 Essie nail polishes FALL EDITION!

Although I might not have shown you all my obsession for nail polish before I do like to tell you about my favorites! For fall 2012 I have picked 5 Essie nail polishes I find perfect for fall, they aren't part of a new collection I have had these for a little while, so hopefully you can still find most of these in stores!

The first color I have picked is one of the easiest colors for anyone to wear all year round. And the color is SAND TROPEZ it's a perfect sandy nude. I personally love this color, and it goes with everything and looks classy.

Second color up is a perfect army green, called SEW PSYCHED they describe it as a olive green color. I find it could make some skin tones look a bit sickly but for most part it's great it has a lot of pastel undertones with makes it very wearable!

A really nice warm color for fall is brown, it seems like fall is when all colors like the leaves and the grass sort of end up brown. To me browns are hard to match up with my skin tone so when I found this HOT COCOA shade from Essie I thought it was perfect, like the name it is the exact same color as hot chocolate powder.

VELVET VOYEUR is next. It is a deep deep purple color, it is very jeweled toned. Nothing much else to say about this It is one of my favorite fall colors. This one does stain my nails so I do recommend a good white or clear coat!

My very favorite color I have chosen this fall is one called IN STITCHES it's a beautiful dark blush color with red, orange, pink undertones it's a very unique and soft color. I find it looks very nice on all skin tones.

I hope you all enjoyed this blogpost if you have any fall themed request leave them in the comments down below or via any social media sites!

Jergens Natural Glow REVIEW!

A long time ago I used up a tube of the light/medium skin tone daily body moisturizer, and I didn't think very much of it, I didn't see much difference in my skin tone, although I remember liking the smell I decided not to repurchase it. Since summer has been over and fall is slowly coming upon us, I have been on a hunt for the perfect AFFORDABLE self tanner/ tanning lotion.

Since last time i used this product, it wasn't giving me any results i opted to try out the medium to dark skin tone version. As always before applying a tan, i exfoliated my skin, and let it dry for about 30 minutes. Since this product is a lotion, and a gradual tanner i applied it with my hand, making sure it absorbed evenly everywhere, as soon as i was done, i washed my hands thoroughly!
I waited for it to absorb and dry, then i put dark clothes on, to make sure no stains would happen, and i went to bed.
The next morning i was very impressed to find a very Natural looking glow! It seems to me that this product pulls to a more orangy color, which can be very bad for certain people, who might already have those colored undertones. Although i find that the amount of color was pretty impressive, after only one usage. I was a bit scared that if i applied it again the orange would come out more therefore i have concluded, that this would be a great "pick me up" between other self tanning sessions.

I will further on try to work with this product, see what other techniques i could use to apply it. If any of you have tried it out, let me know in the comments down below!
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Wedge booties REVIEW!

I recently purchased these from Le Chateau, having fall in mind!
First of all I need to say that I am aware that wedges aren't every body's cup of tea, and I didn't use to like them. But my taste is allowed to change like every body else's. I have grown to like these mainly because of how comfortable they are! If you have never tried a wedge and you do wear heals quite a bit, you definitely should! These particular ones retail for around 130$ but I purchased mine on sale for 50$. The top part is made of leather and the bottom of synthetic material. These are great quality and very easy to walk in compared to a non wedge shoe. I would say the heal is around 4 1/2 inch, with a 1 1/2 platform. If you like this trend or are planning on trying it out let me know in the comments below or via Facebook or twitter!

WILDFOX!

Will fall coming quickly everyone should be pulling out their long sleeve knits. I went shopping a little while ago, looking for autumn staples. I discovered wildfox couture a while ago, although back then the designs and colors looked more spring and summer like they have brought on new looks for the fall, the the in this picture is one of my favorite. Red being a color one can wear all year long , and the design might not be for everyone but I find it to be autumn like. These ate quite pricey compared to the good old long sleeve shirt. I do believe the quality surpasses normal shirts. These are raved about on the internet, if you are lucky enough to find these in a sample sale, don't hesitate you won't regret it! You can also purchase these on line, and please go take a look at the other models.

REVLON REVIEW!

I tried out the revlon just bitten kissable balm stain! These which are a perfect dupe for the clinic chubby sticks!? I don't like this product as much as many people do. I was expecting a bit more moisture from them, but I find that I have to layer them with a moisture balm or a gloss. The color payoff and staying power is amazing though! I do find that it lasts a little too long on some parts of the lips looking a bit blotchy after a long time! I am not 100% sure how I feel about these I will surely need to try out more colors.

Let me know your favorite lip stains, in the comment down below!!

Fall trend!

Colored denim, believe it or not it is back again for fall 2012. But do not be mistaken the neon's and brights are no longer in fashion, we are now talking about browns, burnt orange, rust color, forest greens and deep turquoise colors. They are in all stores. My mom and I recently purchased two pairs each retailing for 28$. Which is quite affordable! A tip for this trend is to pick the colored skinny to be a few sizes looser then a regular denim. They will look much more flattering this way!
If you do feel like picking up on this trend send me a picture via facebook or twitter, love to see how you would wear this trend!

Thanks for reading, have a wonderful day!

TIP TUESDAY!

Since school is almost around the corner for most of you I thought I would start up a new series, for this tip tuesday my advice is to wear tinted moisturizer or a light BB cream. Since you are most likely at your darkest point, let your natural tan shine threw! Don't cover up your skin with heavy foundations, but if you require more coverage think to use a powder foundation or setting powder for a matte finish! I will be posting a few videos on my YouTube page for light foundation routine and simple school makeup! Stay tuned for that!

Nature's Gate REVIEW!

I recently purchase this product, thinking it would be nice to try it out. I wasn't too happy anymore with my last moisturizer. The container looks very high class , with a thick frosted glass jar and a little spoon to apply the product. The smell is fantastic, very organic and natural smelling. It is made with chardonnay. When I apply it to my skin it feels light, watery but very moisturizing. I like this product because it doesn't leave a greasy film. It also makes my skin smell of oatmeal! Which as you all know I really like! Although it is a daily product I use it mostly at night! It is very good for my sensitive skin also, so for all you sensitive skin people, try it out! A very small amount is all you need and it works wonders! It retails for about 30$ which is very nice!

Mitchum REVIEW!

This is my new daily Deodorant,
I picked it up because i ran out of my usual one, not thinking to much or having any expectations, i was very satisfied! I have found that it is by far one of the Best deodorants i have ever tried out. I have super sensitive skin and work out every day therefore i need something to protect me from sweat, but keeping my sensitive skin happy. This product keeps me dry all day, with a light fresh scent. As the advertisement says, "without the white residue"!
Great product i recommend it to anyone, mostly because if you do not sweat very much, it won't dry out your armpits and will leave a good smell.

Tea REVIEW!

Stash tea's are one of my favorite ones right now. You can find them almost everywhere and the boxes range from 4-6$ I believe. This Earl gray bergamot tea is what I use to make my London fog teas, most morning! It has a very distinguished citrus taste, and the spices feel refreshing in a comforting way! I do like to drink this without any mix in, I prefer making it into a London fog with frothy milk and a touch of sugar!

Mascara REVIEW!

Lashblast, Olympic edition.
I'm a little embarrassed to say I have never owned any of the lashblast mascaras before. Although I tried it and liked it I was always put off by the large brush. But when I saw they came out with the Olympic one I had to purchase it. I really like it, it is eater proof, although it doesn't lengthen my lashes it gives them so much volume. I like that when I do wash my face it doesn't stick under my eyes it wipes away easily! Without running and smearing everywhere. It retails for around 7$ and right now is the perfect time to purchase it in any drug store or grocery stores!
Let me know if you try it!

NIP+FAB REVIEW!

Today I'll be reviewing my new daily facial moisturizer. I heard that this UK brand was now in Canada therefore as you all know I went hunting for it, took me long enough but I have found it! I needed to replace my Lancome moisturizer which I have just finished and I was actually really excited to try this one out!
INITIAL THOUGHTS:
The smell scared me because it has a very perfume/citrus smell and since my skin Is so sensitive I wasn't sure how it would react. Happy to say it hasn't broke me out yet! The amount of moisture it gives isn't excellent therefore I wouldn't recommend this for you who have very dry skin. That being said I still would recommend it to combination skin normal skin and oily skin types. Because it is such a light moisturizer! Honestly perfect for summer, not so perfect for dry skin.
I love the packaging it's very cute and simple. I must mention that the smell disappears within seconds of applying the moisturizer!
Let me know which NIP+FAB products are your favorites, or which you would like to try out!

FASHION TREND!

Current trend I'm sure you all have witnessed is the rose gold trend!! Although I used to like rose gold a lot it seems to have stopped being one of my favorite looks, companies come out with cheap looking rose gold which to me ruins the whole trend. One of the last items I still like in rose gold, are watches. The particular one in the picture is sold in ASOS and retails for about 38$ which is really great and it seems to be such a good looking watch. I like the simplicity of its face. And the price is great compared to 300$ for a MK one. Which to me, well, I don't like rose gold THAT much.
Tell me which is your favorite shade of gold, white, yellow, pink?

NIKE REVIEW!

I purchased two pairs of these compression/spandex shorts from sports check a bit ago. Thought I would review them. The quality seems really amazing on both pair I go the purples ones you can see on the picture down below and I got the black graphic print ones they have. The great thing is that they are on sale right now!!
I wear these to run and go to the gym. And all the training that I do! I like the purple ones a lot because you don't see if you sweat, which can sometimes happen with colored bottoms. The material feels great and is very soft. They fit true to size, and are very comfortable. They come in all sorts of colors which is a plus, ALWAYS!!
I really think that these are affordable and worth purchasing they are even great for layering under looser fitting clothes.

Tweet me if you decide to pick these up, you wont regret it!!

SHOE REVIEW!

Hey guys long time no blog, I've been super busy lately but I figured I would review one of my most recent purchases! I got these shoes a bit ago for training, mainly running. They are the Under Armour Women Go Running Shoes. They come in two colors I got the white gray and turquoise ones.
LOOKS: I really like the way these shoes look on my feet they aren't bulky.
COMFORT: they are extremely comfortable they are the new kind of shoe where the padding and support is minimized to feel as natural for your body, therefore being better for you.
PROS: I really enjoy the shoes so far they are super comfortable and they don't rub wrong anywhere. I like the amount of grip on the shoes, they are great for indoors and outdoors I find.
CONS: I don't think these shoes come in a smaller size then a 6. I wear a size 5 usually.

Overall I find that this is a great shoe I will keep you guys updated on the wear of the shoe over time and if it wears in good! If you are a runner I recommend this shoe to you. Although I know some people don't like this type of shoe because they require more padding and support. I like it for the type of training that I do.
Let me know if you try these out!

TIP TUESDAY!

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, LIGHTEN YOU HAIR WITH THEM :)
As a lot of people, in the summer, strive for blonder, or simply lighter hair. But salon treatments can become costly and damaging for your hair. I have a simple trick to help you out.

1- Cut about 6 Lemons in half and squeeze the juice into a spray bottle.
2- Add 1 cup of warm water.
3- Add 1tsp of olive oil to the mix. (unless you have a very oil scalp)
4- Shake Shake Shake.
5- Apply to hair before sun exposure.

The sun will hit the lemon juice on your hair a create 'natural bleach" lighter shades in your hair. This procedure can be a bit drying for some hair types therefore i recommend a good moisture conditioner Afterwards.
If the desired look is to be a bit more highlighted/streaked then a one color, apply the mixture to certain pieces more then others. Although this is a slower process, i do believe it is extremely safe. To really witness the change make sure to take before and after pictures:) If you do share them with me on Twitter/Facebook.

TRAVALO REVIEW!

Has a perfume bottle ever exploded in your purse and such? have you ever had to leave your favorite perfume at the airport. are you simply tired of hauling around your big sized perfumes? Well i sure was until i saw the "oh so raved about" Travalo, I KNOW you all have heard of it.
First time i saw the Travalo was on Youtube, then i started noticing them everywhere i went, from in the stores to people using it in public places. I recently received a Tavalo Excel which is the 65 spray one, for review. I was sent the gold version, which i like, gold is always super classy, and this newest version comes with a protective case, which, personally am not a fan of, because it takes away from the practicality of the product but i do know i still will be using in for when i go on longer trips, not just for when it is in my purse.
The packaging is cylindrical and sturdy. The outer cover is half transparent and half print and inside is the main bottle.

POSITIVES:

* Traveling, date night, in your purse, after the gym.
* It is airline friendly and lasts up to 65 sprays
* I love that i am able to mix scents that i love, together.
* They have great colors so you can color corespond the perfum to the bottle color, which i think is cute.
* They are affordable, around 17 dollars, where i have seen them.
* One of my favorite things, is that you can see how much perfum you have left in it, due to a little window.
* Travalo Excel is available in 10 beautiful colors to match different fragrances, outfits and moods.

NEGATIVES:

* Tricky to clean at first, but i find that i use a teeny bit of hand sanitizer and warm water and i fill up a old empty body spray bottle, and i fill it like i would do if it was perfume, and spray it out afterwords.

FINAL VERDICT

I really enjoy the practicality of this product i think it is a great tool to have. i recommend this product to all you who love to wear scents, but hate the inconvenience of them! Due to the fact that i love the concept I will be purchasing additional Travalo excels to hold my other perfumes in!

Travalo runs a ‘Daily Spray’ every day on their Facebook page which gives all who ‘like’ the page a chance to win a free Travalo - every day! http://www.facebook.com/TavolaME

TIPS FOR REFILL:

1) Refill on flat surface. It will make the process easier.
2) Refill with the Travalo lid on.  Travalo is easier to refill when the lid is on as otherwise you can press the spray top.

MARLEY'S MELLOW MOOD REVIEW!

Once again, i am reviewing tea for you guys today, as you might know if you follow me on twitter, i have difficulties sleeping. When i saw my friend talking about this drink i thought it sounded pretty good, but i didn't know if it was going to work for me, since i actually cant sleep. HERE ARE A FEW OF THE INGREDIENTS:

I slept like a baby when i had this, i slept extremely great every night i take one about 20 minutes before i want to sleep, and i stay asleep all night and wake up feeling super relaxed.
